Morons! Malachi is addressed to OT Israel (1:1) and its dishonestd priests (1:6; 2:`1) who had been stealing the tithe from the Levites (Neh 13:5-10). Plus (as Mal 3:10) says, holy tithes were always only food from inside Israel. Jesus taught tithes of food under the law (Mt 23:23), but carpenters did not tithe and neither did tent-makers or fishermen. If you want to teach tithing, teach 23% and give the whole Levitical tithe to the Levite servants to the priests as taught in Numbers 18:20-28.
